Ok, you got me. It's actually a truck. I want one of these square body step sides bad. I'm also moving overseas soon, and a kid on the way, I need this about as much as a hole in the head, but I want it BAD!
God dammit roadkill. Spending all my paychecks for me. On the other hand, I don't think I could tow my 3,000lb MR2 with this almost 1,000mi in a month and a half without some major time put into getting it running reliably. Oh, and like 500lbs of gear...

i know right? Its not even an option! If he would take my low ball offer, I wouldn't know what to do if I couldn't tow my car with it...

Do it if not for the overseas move. You probably need cash to get something wherever you go.

My grandpa has an early 70s step-side Chevy that's a beauty. He's restored a couple vintage trucks (a 1936 Chevy and a little bit younger White Motor Company truck) and the step-side was his daily driver for years. He really took care of it. Think it's been sitting in a barn ever since they got a new crew-cab Silverado a few years ago.

Yeah, do that! If all else fails, you can just somehow find the money for shipping from wherever it breaks down.

this still doesn't help the fact I'm moving to Europe in a few months, I can only bring 1 car, I currently have 2. And my MR2 is not going anywhere.

yup, when I get back to the states or decide to stay over there I'll be buying a diesel pickup and getting then wife something she likes, then hopefully rat rod muscle truck. I already have this "kernel panic" nerdy/military graphic idea in my head that's perfect for it.

Spain, its within driving range of the 'ring and has a ton of nude/topless beaches/where its rude NOT to stare... Plus, might get an Alfa GTV for a bit, Spanish back roads, running of the bulls, tomato festival, hot Spanish women, etc...

That would be a nice drive!
Another good thing is that the speed limit is around 75 on most major motorways, and the Guardia Civil doesn't really seem to pay much attention on desolate roads.

Haha, Nice. I just wish my A4 wasn't limited to 130, that was just cruel of them to do that.
If you buy a car while stationed over there, can you take it back to the States?

its just the worst, 4k rpm, boost boost boost, cut. No power.
I think I could, but all the cars I really Want are old enough that there are a few in the states as it is or I could never afford the insurance premiums (V10TT RS6 Avant)

my MR2 is coming with me, and we are selling the wife's vibe. I do have a warehouse I could store the truck, but at that point I might as well but it when i get back... And I still want a decent st185 Celica alltrac, jza80 supra hardtop, and quite a few other Toyotas, figure I need to get a hot rod sometime though../

If you're going to be in awesome Japanese car land you know that now is not the time. With that said? Awesome truck. My teaching job has really made me reconsider C10s. They're consistently some of the best trucks I see my students have.

i don't care for JDM cars so much as JDM parts for the USDM imports I like. If I had it my way, I would get probably 6 or 7 gen4 3S-GTE motors from Toyota Caldina station wagons, a king cab for a early 90's Hilux, the Carlos saintz edition Celica rally hood and bumper, and general rare parts for toyotas.
For C10s, when I watched the roadkill muscle truck episode I knew I would have to own one, someday. The patina on this one is perfect, it just needs a supercharger with shotgun scoop barely sticking out of the hood.

if money wasn't an issue she would push it off the flight deck of a carrier. We both hate that car. She wants a WRX or BRZ as a daily, and an old school vette or 911 as a weekend car.

Granddad and the farm are long drives in different directions. My brother lives closer to the farm and spends time out there occasionally. If I had a more cooperative job, I'd spend fall weekends up there hunting.
